2022 4-H Summer Sewing Camp
We are excited to bring back 4-H Summer Sewing Camp!
All projects are beginner friendly...but will offer some challenges for experienced sewers as well.

June 9th
1PM - 5pm @ JPCC
Cost $10 per youth, includes a snack
No sewing experience necessary. The main project will be a Penguin Rice Pack.  This little guy can be heated up in the microwave or tossed in the freezer for a hot or cold compress...or he can just look cute!  We will supply the fabrics. All supplies provided for a cost of $10. Please bring your sewing machine and supply kit of scissors, bobbin, seam ripper, and pins as well as a 2 pound bag of long grain rice and your water bottle. There may be additional small sewing project kits available for those kids who complete the project or are more experienced sewers. One parent or guardian will be asked to stay per child to help them through their project.

June 10th
9AM - 5pm @ JPCC
Cost $15 per youth, includes lunch and a snack
No sewing experience necessary, but if you attend the day before, you will be able to tackle this second day sewing project of a reversible bucket hat.  To make the hat their own, please purchase 2 coordinating print "fat quarters" (the fabric store will know what those are...if you don't like their offering of fat quarters you can just get a 1/2 yard of each print you choose) and their own thread.  We will supply the interlining and additional fun projects for you to make throughout the day or take home.  Some of those projects could be a 4-H fabric zip pouch, denim dog bones, and satin trimmed flannel baby blankets (which we will donate to a local organization), as well as a special "I Spy" quilt to be used in the fair raffle basket.

Please bring your sewing machine and supply kit of scissors, bobbin, seam ripper, and pins as well your water bottle (and maybe a snack or two that they might want throughout the day).
We will be providing either a boxed lunch or pizza for lunch along with a fun snack challenge that is clothing related!!!  One parent or guardian will be asked to stay per child to help them through their project (lunch will be supplied for parent as well).
